The national admission committee is composed of delegates from state-owned universities. According to the regulation of Ministry of Education No. 034/2010, student admission for state university is categorized into two types:
- Student admission based on written and skill test, or known as SBMPTN.
- Student admission based on academic performance (non-written and skill test), or known as SNMPTN.
These two tests are equivalent. Students who are admitted through either one of these admissions systems are considered to have fulfilled the requirements to enter ITB.
