Asosiasi profesi pendukung LAMSAMA yaitu Himpunan Kimia Indonesia (HKI), Physics Society of Indonesia (PSI), Himpunan Ahli Geofisika Indonesia (HAGI), Perhimupnan Biologi Indonesia (PBI), Himpunan Astronomi Indonesia (HAI), dan Indonesian Mathematics Society (IndoMS). Kriteria akreditasi LAMSAMA berstandar internasional. Kami juga siap menjalin kerja sama dengan lembaga akreditasi bidang sains dan ilmu formal di seluruh dunia. Konsep akreditasi LAMSAMA adalah supportive bukan directive, maksudnya bahwa LAMSAMA mendukung program studi tumbuh-kembang dan memiliki standar pendidikan yang tinggi dan semakin baik tetapi tidak mengarahkannya menuju ke suatu tujuan yang dikehendaki LAMSAMA. Setiap kebiasan baik (best practice), langkah perbaikan dan kemajuan yang diambil oleh program studi akan mendapat kredit dari LAMSAMA dan akan tercermin dalam laporan akreditasi. Sistem penjaminan mutu internal program studi harus berperan aktif dalam meningkatkan kinerja program studi. Di fihak kami, asesor LAMSAMA dilatih untuk menggali setiap potensi yang dimiliki prodi untuk menjadi lebih baik dan kompetitive di kancah global. Lulusan program studi yang diakreditasi LAMSAMA harus memiliki 2 skill utama yang telah dinilai secara ketat, yaitu penguasaan bidang ilmu (subject specific skill) dan profesionalisme (transferable
