Thesis and Dissertation Guidelines

Please be careful and pay attention to the following:

  1. Print 1 (one) page first, please re-measure the size of the margins in accordance with the ITB dissertation writing guidelines, namely: by measuring directly on the printed sheet. If there is a difference, do a reset on the printing equipment you are using. It is recommended to print using a regular printer (printer) and then reproduce it using a photocopier (except for pictorial pages, in which case it is highly not recommended to use a photocopier output sheet).
  2. The term "1 space" refers to the one time the enter key is used with the same font format used as the previous line, while the size of each space is indicated by the term "1 space" or "1.5 space".
  3. Pay attention to the format of the Dissertation/Dissertation/Thesis Proposal including: Letter size, space size, provisions for the number of spaces (Enter), ITB logo size, page margins, page numbering, image titles, how to write formulas, formula numbering, use of uppercase and lowercase letters , order of abbreviations, sequence of symbols, numbering of chapter titles and sub-chapters, procedures for citing and writing bibliographical sources, writing titles that exceed one line, writing titles that are less than or equal to one line, type of paper including size and weight, cover paper and color ink. If there is an image that causes ink to penetrate onto the back page, paper weighing more than 80 grams or special paper can be used for printing images or photos. Visually check the proportionality of the format, title page, validation sheet.
  4. Please pay attention to changes in font size, borders and other formats when converting file types, for example converting from MS word to a PDF file. Please note if there is a visual change after the printing process.
  5. Visual checking and the order of the title page sheets in general can refer to the Technical Guidelines for Writing Dissertation, Dissertation and Thesis Poposals.
