Geophysical Communication: Providing More Value to Research Results
Good communication is an important part of research. Of course, every research result needs to be disseminated with the aim of providing wider benefits and impacts. The research results are packaged well and interestingly, both in the form of posters, oral presentations and writings in scientific papers published in a journal.
As with other fields, the field of geophysics is also required to be able to disseminate the results of its research in a good and interesting manner. The benefits of research results in the field of geophysics will have an impact on scientific development and are well published and communicated. Apart from that, the development of geophysical science and techniques can also contribute to the process of sustainable national development if it is communicated well in language that is popular and easily understood by policy makers.
In response to the above, the ITB Geophysical Engineering Study Program considers it necessary to make Geophysical Communication one of the undergraduate level courses. One of the tasks that must be prepared by students participating in the Geophysical Communication course is to prepare a poster with a geophysical theme. The poster was presented by each group consisting of 2-3 people.
Prof. Satria Bijaksana as the teacher of the Geophysical Communication course invited several lecturers to visit the class and provide comments and suggestions on the posters presented. Comments and suggestions from lecturers who come can give students enthusiasm and confidence to dare to appear at more serious events, both at national and international levels. (ZFZ)
