End of Field Lecture, Junior Geophysicist was born

Karangsambung, Kebumen – On Friday evening (19/05/17), the 2017 Karangsambung field lecture participants took part in the Prom Night event which was initiated by the ITB Geophysical Engineering Study Program and organized by several student representative participants. The event was held as part of the closing of the 2017 Karangsambung field lecture activities. In her speech, Dr. Andri Dian Nugraha S.Si., M.Sc. as the Head of the ITB Geophysical Engineering Study Program, expressed his deepest appreciation to all participants regarding the progress of the 2017 Karangsambung field lecture. He also expressed his apologies for being unable to accompany the participants due to their departure for the Umrah pilgrimage.

As if he didn’t want to be left behind, Prof. Satria Bijaksana also gave his highest appreciation to the participants. “By the end of this Karangsambung field lecture, you have become a junior Geophysicist.” he said.

Furthermore, participant representatives from undergraduate and postgraduate programs were asked to come forward to provide impressions and messages during the course of the field study activities. Undergraduate students were represented by Muhammad Afif Alfaro Adiyoso as chairman of the 2017 Karangsambung field lecture and Putri Natari Ratna. Meanwhile, the representative from postgraduate students was Eki Komara. “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the lecturers and assistants for all the guidance they have provided during the course of this activity. On behalf of the fellow participants, I apologize if during this activity there were inappropriate words or behavior. “I have high hopes that what was obtained during the 2017 Karangsambung Field Lecture will be a great provision for us in the future.” Afif said in his speech.

Then the closing ceremony began, starting with the awarding of the best participants with certain nominations. Not to be left behind, Prof. Satria Bijaksana also announced the results of the three best participants. They include Rurry Elsa Lorenza (12314016), Muhammad Resqa (12314070), and Haidar Ali Rizqy (12314018). “Because this is the closing night, I ask for a commitment from all my friends to give their best. Totally to enjoy this closing night.” Prof. Satria’s words were followed by the boisterous presence of the 2017 Karangsambung field lecture participants.

This closing activity finally ended at 23.00 WIB. At the end of the event, all participants circled and sang the song We Are The Champions – Queen
