International Virtual Course “Geophysics for Engineering & Environment: from theory to practical application”

The International Virtual Course provides the latest trends in geophysical techniques to solve engineering and environmental problems, from remote sensing to ground sensing techniques, from detection to monitoring. This course will be taught by leading researchers in the field of engineering & environmental geophysics as well as in the field of Geotechnical Engineering from Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany and the United States. This course is SPECIAL but NOT LIMITED to students majoring in Geophysics, Geology, Mining Engineering, Earth Physics, Geotechnical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

  6. Applied geophysics for the environment
  7. Environmental Remote Sensing
  8. Utilization of geophysical technology for the development of water resources infrastructure
  9. Aviation Turbulence in Indonesia and Its Relationship with Himawari-8 Weather Satellite Imagery
  10. Identification & characterization
  11. Radon survey for geothermal prospects and active fault monitoring
  12. Slope stability analysis: theory and application in geotechnical engineering
  13. Geothermal exploration and study of active faults using electromagnetic methods
  14. The Soil Stabilization Process uses bioagents and monitoring uses geophysical methods
  15. Ground Water Analysis Based on Geophysical Data for Engineering and the Environment

The course is equivalent to Engineering  & Environmental Geophysics (TG-4142): 3 credits
