Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI)
In accordance with the national standards of higher education in Indonesia, every graduate of the applied geophysical engineering undergraduate program is expected to be able to have skills including the following,
- Able to apply science, technology, and art in their field of expertise and able to adapt to various situations encountered in solving a problem.
- Mastering in-depth general and specific theoretical concepts from a particular knowledge and being able to formulate related problem-solving procedures
- Able to make strategic decisions based on information and data analysis and provide direction in choosing several alternative solutions
- Responsible for his own work and can be assigned to be responsible for achieving organizational performance
Objective
- Have an understanding of knowledge and methodology in a wide spectrum of geophysical engineering, including resource exploration, environmental geophysics, seismology, and tectonics, and have problem-solving skills in their work.
- Have the ability to acquire, process, and interpret geophysical data for a broad spectrum of geophysical engineering, including resource exploration, environmental geophysics, seismology, and tectonics; and building on that foundation with advanced material in geophysics to develop the in-depth knowledge students need to pursue advanced postgraduate studies and professional careers in the government or private sector.
- Keep abreast of developments in students’ areas of interest in geophysics and their interactions with science and technology, industry, and life in general
- Have the ability to communicate ideas, both orally and in writing, both scientifically and generally, to take the right initiatives, and to lead working groups in relevant fields.
- Have the ability to continue to develop knowledge for further study, both formal and informal.
