Bandung, August 2025 \u2014 The Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FITB) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) has established a strategic partnership with PT Jawa Satu Power (JSP) to study the coastal waters environment and fisheries conditions in PT JSP’s operational area in Cilamaya.<\/span><\/span> This partnership officially began in April 2025. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The study was led by Prof. Dr. rer.<\/span><\/span> nat.<\/span><\/span> Mutiara R. Putri, an expert in oceanography and coastal environments.<\/span><\/span> During its implementation, the FITB team conducted various scientific activities, including: Marine and coastal surveys to map the physical and ecological conditions of the study area.<\/span><\/span> Hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling to understand water dynamics.<\/span><\/span> Laboratory analysis of water quality to assess environmental impacts.<\/span><\/span> As part of this collaboration, on August 4\u20135, 2025, a team from PT JSP visited ITB.<\/span><\/span> The meeting took place in Lecture Room 1401, 2nd Floor, Labtek XI, FITB.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The visit included intensive discussions with experts from FITB and a tour of the laboratory facilities and research center used in the study.<\/span><\/span> The visit was deemed highly beneficial in strengthening communication and synergy between the two institutions, as well as opening opportunities for ongoing collaboration in environmental studies and coastal resource management.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
